I start my posts with a valuable one: How to download ANYTHING, including paid software, from websites using com_rokdownloads component.
I was looking for some templates and I didn't really want to pay for them (maybe later). I won't say their name as I don't want to ruin their business. I first tried on rapidshare & co and I found nothing. Then suddenly google helped me with a trick. It cached a direct download link from that site. That link was pointing to a free template but my idea was to try it on a paid template. And voila! The download started. It was just luck.
So I'll tell you the trick now. Add at the end of url in download details page &task=download if the site has non-sef url's or /task,download/ if it has sef links. Don't worry if the url has been rewritten with a dedicated sef component, they usually redirect joomla core sef url's.
I strongly encourage you not to steal anything using this method. I also cannot guarantee it will work forever, maybe the guys who made rokDownloads will fix this issue in the next release.
Anyway, I saved just saved some bucks today :)
Last advise: How to find rok_downloads users?
Simply type in google inurl:com_rokdownloads.
